Blender Weight Paint Mode Not Working

The current behavior of weight painting in blender 2 8 may appear to be buggy where you can t select bones or armature when going into weight paint.

Blender weight paint mode not working. I ve had that issue before. Last time it happened i added some new limbs to my mesh and bones to match. Not with weight painting but with selecting. So it seems a subdivided cube becomes unpaintable by the brushes in the weight paint mode.

So you need to brush over where vertexes are. See the vertex mapping option you can place the objects on different layers but you have to ensure that all objects are visible when you call the tool. Also try setting the object to wireframe mode and trying to weight paint again. If so then look at the brush setting.

I m pretty sure that the dynamic paint s weight paint mode is not working unless the ux has changed in some major way and i m not understanding the new way it is supposed to work. Change that to add and see if that changes anything. Brush radius set around 35 will do and strength of 0 500 to start. But don t apply this time.

Now ensure that the target object is in weight paint mode. Enter weight paint mode and it shows completely blue.
