Blender Remove Doubles Python

I know this might be a wrong section for asking this question but since modifiers are made in c and not in python i felt like i shouldn t ask it on python support.
Blender remove doubles python. Instead of removing the geometry which may leave holes that you have to fill in again. In this video i ll go over the remove doubles tool great for cleaning up duplicate stacked geometry. I just imported an dae file into blender and i realised that all the faces are triangulated and the faces are separated. I think the major shortage of blender is a missing library system for materials something like the library system in substance painter.
Curve remove doubles merged with simplify curves and now part of blender since 2 80. I can fix this manually entering into edit mode removing doubles and converting triangles to quads. The only problem is that i have something like a few hundred separate objects so obviously to repeat all this operations for every single object will be a very time. Some of the curve may not be traced or artifacts on the extruded wall.
Replace the script duplicate for this node node. So yeah my question would be why isn t there a remove doubles modifier. Eliminate material and node group duplicates. There you will find the remove doubles under a new name and location.
Doing it before the flush command and it works fine for the first 2 duplicates but as soon as i go to 3 duplicates then it crashes. Dissolve will remove the geometry and fill in the surrounding geometry. The by distance from the merge group perform the same type of operation as the remove doubles in blender 2 7x. This is becouse of nearby points of bezier curve.
Removes selected geometry but without creating holes effectively turning the selection into a single n gon. Is it hard to make or do majority of blend developers and user think that it wouldn t mean anything or be very useful for a modeling process pipeline. Sometimes in exported curves in blender you can note bugs. It is now part of the merge group.
